Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using LOVN, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the application. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Maiti LLC.

2. Description of service

LOVN is a caregiving coordination platform that allows care teams — family members, paid caregivers, and volunteers — to organize and share care information for a person they are caring for ("the patient"). LOVN is a productivity and coordination tool only.

3. Not a medical device

Important: LOVN is NOT a medical device, electronic medical record, clinical decision support system, or regulated health information system. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for any medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911 immediately.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use LOVN. By using the app, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

5. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Ensuring that information you enter about a patient is accurate to the best of your knowledge
Obtaining appropriate consent before sharing a patient's information with other care circle members

You agree not to share your account with others. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support@lovn.app immediately.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use LOVN for any unlawful purpose
Enter false or misleading information about a patient
Attempt to access another user's data without authorization
Post harmful, harassing, or offensive content in community features
Use LOVN to make clinical treatment decisions without physician oversight
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the application

7. Community standards

When using community features, you agree to be respectful, honest, and supportive. Content that is hateful, harassing, medically dangerous, or otherwise harmful is prohibited. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these standards.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAITI LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF LOVN, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY HARM RESULTING FROM MEDICAL DECISIONS MADE BASED ON INFORMATION IN THE APP. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or CAD $100, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from More → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use LOVN immediately ceases.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of LOVN after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
